Maddie Boone is a 15-year-old reporter for the local newspaper. Her dream is to write for a big newspaper or magazine, everyone will know Maddie's name. When a tornado hits Maddie's town, tragic things start to happen, and her life is starting to fall apart. Can Maddie act fast and do what she needs to do, or will her life crumble and eventually shatter?
Maddie Boone walked into her favorite diner, Dynamite Diner.
"Hi Sweetie," a waitress named Della said.
"Hi Della! How are you today?" Maddie asked.
"I'm alright. How about you?"
"I am great. Working on my next story for the Chesterfield newspaper."
"That's great honey! You know, there is a house for sale on Citrus Court."
"Thanks for the tip Della! I'll check it out this evening."
"Glad I could help! What can I get you Maddie?"
"Maybe the waffle with honey-flavored whipped cream with bananas on top?"
"Sure! It will be ready soon."
"Thanks Della."
"No problem! Just doing my job."
Maddie looked at the door as it opened, it was her best friend, Abbie.
"Abbie! Over here!" Maddie yelled.
Abbie sat down at the same table as Maddie.
"Hey Mad. How's it going?"
"Great! Della gave me some advice on what to do my next report on."
"Cool, what is it?"
"A house for sale on Citrus Court, and that's in a nice part of town. What do ya think?"
"I've seen that house before, it's beautiful. Totally!"
"Great! Let's go around 7 tonight."
"Alright, sure!"
"Here is your waffle Maddie. Enjoy!" Della said, handing them the plat of waffles.
"Thanks Della," Abbie said.
All of a sudden, the news was on the TV, but the sound was on, and normally the diner owner never turned the sound on unless it was an emergency...
Hope you liked it! Please leave a comment for ideas or if you liked it or what could be better.
Thanks!!
