Maddie Boone is a 15-year-old reporter for the local newspaper. Her dream is to write for a big newspaper or magazine, everyone will know Maddie's name. When a tornado hits Maddie's town, tragic things start to happen, and her life is starting to fall apart. Can Maddie act fast and do what she needs to do, or will her life crumble and eventually shatter?
The girls had a nice day at school. It got much windier after school. Abbie and Maddie walked into a restaurant to pick up dinner for later tonight since their families were getting together. While they were waiting for their order to be ready, the girls stared out the window. The sky was turning a greenish color.
"Um, Maddie, is the sky supposed to be that color?" Abbie asked, concerned.
