Evan Parker and Kate Hamilton are two best friends, just trying to make it through high school when a mysterious force causes them to have powers. Kate brushes their powers off, saying they'll only be temporary, that is until she figures out there is a dark mysterious force hiding; trying to capture super-humans. Soon enough no one is safe, and they have to run away to protect themselves, and their families? Will Kate and Evan make it?
My name is Evan Parker, in case you didn't know. I'm friends with an idiot. Her name is Kate, she's not an idiot, she's actually very smart. She just doesn't think twice before we do anything. Me and Kate are the top ranked students in our school. Being friends with Kate is great, but the problem is you won't stop getting into trouble. Don't believe me? If you're ever bored, spend five minutes with her. But I'm not here to talk about Kate, she can talk about herself. In case you don't know, I'm a nerd, a geek. My favorite thing in the world is my computer. Computers don't talk back, make smart remarks, they do what they tell you tell them too. School is very easy, too easy, the same is for Kate.
I don't have a lot of friends, and I think it's because of what Kate did to someone in elementary. In elementary school, someone kept bullying me for wearing glasses. I didn't tell Kate, but she knew something was wrong. She eventually asked me and I told her about the kid who was bullying me. She was very mad, and she told me she would take care of it. The next day I went back to school, and the kid had two black eyes, he ran to me sobbing, saying he was sorry. It was weird, until I was called in the office. Kate's mom, my parent's and the bully's parents were there talking about Kate assaulting another student.
"Kate says you're sorry to the boy." her mother said.
"I'm sorry you're such a jerk to my friend." she replied. "I'm not sorry for punching you in the mouth, you deserved it. You bullied my friend, I hope you cry when you get home."
She ended up getting suspended. When she came back, she asked me if he was bothering me. I said no. No one was bothering me. She smiled and said, "Good."
"Why did you do it though?" I asked.
She grinned from ear to ear. "He called you four eyes, so I gave him black eyes. No one should be called names or bullied."
I agreed with the last part, but the freaky part is, I never saw that kid again.
