Chapter 1 of 3 - Homework

"Hello everyone, it is seven in the morning, what a beautiful day for a Tuesday here in Weatherford Texas. It is cloudy with a ten percent chance of rain. This morning the hero Golden Fury, stopped a robbery in progress at the local diner, no one was injured. Now upon request, please enjoy the song "Oceans," by Hillsong." I sat up in my bed feeling dead inside. My door opened, I rubbed my eyes. "Good morning," my mom said. I groaned as I pulled the covers off of my bed. I looked at my dresser and saw a paper stuck to my face. I took it off, it was my homework. It was finished, thank goodness, I silently prayed everything on it was right. Because I didn't remember finishing it. "How late did you stay up?" "Four." "Four?" My mom repeated. "Why?" "Homework, and studying. I couldn't do it right after school, because of basketball and youth." "How much homework could there be for you to stay up until four in the morning?" My mom asked. I sighed frustrated, I slammed the door and started to get ready for school. How much homework could there be for me to be sleep deprived? Quite a lot actually! I had to finish an essay, do a grammar assignment, and finish my book for my report which was due in two days, then I had math which was easy, I finished that in like..... fifteen minutes, I had science- Biology, I had to finish two homework assignments about osmosis, that took me an hour and a half to finish. And for Spanish, I had a paper for AR and ER verbs. I instantly regretted doing Spanish last, have you ever studied a foreign language at three in the morning? If you haven't it's pretty hard. Once I was dressed I gathered my homework which was scattered all over my bed, I put them in my folder, and finally put everything in my backpack. Just two more days until Spring Break. Two more. Then I won't have to push my body toward its limits. Just one week of me relaxing.
