Chapter 7 of 30 - Life begins at the orphanage (ENDS WELL)

That's when life went horribly wrong. But at least it was better than the Bitermanns. So, there are 15 kids at the orphanage (16, if you count me)- Julia, Sophia, Lisa, James, Julian, Sam, Faith (the head girl), Amy-Allen, Sienna, Indie, Lea, Lilian, June, Boris, Tommy, AND ME Faith, as I said, is the head girl. She's super mean. SUPER. SUPER. MEAN. Amy-Allen and Sienna support her, they're loyal sidekicks. Faith seemed to dislike me when first came, so she's been quite mean to me. The rest of the children...well........... ......... Sienna and Amy-Allen have been saying rude things to me, lying about the other children and threatening me. "So, do you want to hang out?" I asked them that day, not willing to do so. Just wanted to make friends... "HANG? OUT? WITH? YOU? NO!" said Faith in mockery. Sienna and Amy-Allen wrinkled their noses at me. "Leave them alone," said Sophia, coming up to me. "Yeah, I'll do that," Ever since then, Sophia and I became friends. Sophia had brown hair tied into a bun, yellow tees, sneakers, and a blue skirt. Sophia is really nice. "LUNCHTIME!" It was lunchtime. PIZZA! YIPPEEE!!!!!! After pizza, we headed for the bathroom to wash our hands. Just then, Faith, Sienna and Amy-Allen came in. She kicked me. I hit her in her face. Lightly. She began to cry. "Ms.Vicki! Ms.Vicki!" Ms.Vivki ran in. "What's wrong, Faith?" she asked. "My eye! Kayla just hit me hard in the eye and-and-she punched me!" "No, I didn't!" "Yes she did," Amy-Allen and Sienna chorused. "I didn't!" I cried. "Sorry honey," said Ms.VIcki. "That's 3 gets one. Sophia! Go get an ice pack. Amy-Allen, take Faith to the bathroom and help wash her eye. I'll go get a wet towel and tray," I groaned. SERIOUSLY? Faith lied to Ms.Vicki! How could she? "Kayla, go into your dorm," I was sent in that day, angered. I sat on the couch in my room. "Now I'm stuck in here forever!" I muttered to myself. Suddenly, Sophia came in. "Kayla! Ms.Vicki sent me in here to give you some dessert," she said. "Oh," I said. "Thanks," I munched on the cupcakes for a while and piped up, "How did you end up here anyway?" Sophia sighed. "I'm not exactly an orphan. I mean, my parents died when I was born, but I lived with my aunt then. One day, I was in the woods collecting strawberries and then Ms.Vicki drove by and thought I was an orphan. She took me in," I gasped. "When did she do that?" "A month ago, my aunt must be really worried. But she probably forgot me," "She probably didn't," I reassured. I told her my story. Then I groaned. "How are we gonna get out of here?" "Let's run away!" "BRILLIANT!" "There's a golf cart in the garage, I know how to drive it!" said Sophia. "GREAT!" I cried and we planned our escape. There weren't any windows, so we snuck out after dinner. We ran into the garage and dragged out the golf cart which had a pink roof and a blue-lined seat. Sophia and I packed some blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, food, and water and set out. "Let's go before-" "MS.VICKI! SOMEONE IS IN THE GARAGE!" Sienna's voice was heard. "Oh no," I said. "Let's get out of here," Sophia started the engine. "THEY'RE GETTING AWAY! THOSE BRATTY GIRLS! THEY'RE GETTING AWAY! GET THEM!!" We drove away, the golf cart giving out a terrible screech. GOODBYE ORPHANAGE!
