Tessa suddenly has a missing twin sister. Now that's cool, right? Well, not necessarily. Especially if you have a bad twin sister who wants to ruin your life. Now, that the whole family is getting all Jessy's attention, Tessa just needs to try to get rid of her. Will it be successful? Or maybe her plan will fail?
Saturday mornings are the best.
No school, no homework, (I finish my homework on Fridays), no nothing!
I can just relax at home, play soccer with my sister Alex, or watch T.V.
But this morning was out of the ordinary.
Dad was at work, Alex and Abigail were at a high school meeting so it was just me and mom.
The out-of-the-ordinary part came when the doorbell rang.
"I wonder who that could be," Mom said. We were upstairs doing chores.
"I'll get it," I told her and went downstairs.
I opened the door and saw a girl standing there.
She looked just like me!
"Um, who are you?" I asked.
The girl answered in a rude voice, "I'm your long-lost twin sister and..."
I laughed. "My twin sister? Nice try. Goodbye!" I closed the door on her face.
"Who was that?" asked Mom.
"A girl saying she is my long-lost twin sister," I said.
"Oh my goodness! Open the door!" cried, my mom.
"Huh?" I thought and opened the door.
"Jessa! Oh me and my! I missed you so much!" my mom hugged the girl who was apparently Jessa.
"Uh, who is she??" I asked, angrily.
"Tessa, this is Jessa, she's your long-lost twin sister. We've been looking for her for years!" Mom cried, with tears of joy in her eyes.
"How come I don't know she's my twin?" I tested Mom.
"Because you got separated at birth. And we didn't wanna tell you until you were sixteen."
Seriously?
"Is this a joke?" I said. "Because it's not funny. And I don't have a twin sister."
"Oh, Tessa, how can she not be your twin? She has blond hair like you do, blue eyes as you do and she looks just like you!" said Mom.
I rolled my eyes. "I bet there are a million other people in this world with short blond hair and blue eyes, Mom."
My mom laughed. "Oh Tessa," she said. "Come on, Jessa, let's get you a place to sleep."
Then they both went upstairs.
Seriously? I thought. This must be a joke. A huge, horrible joke.
I followed 'Jessa' and mom up the stairs.
"Would you like to sleep in Tessa's room Jessa?" asked Mom."Yes, mom," said Jessa.
"Are you kidding me? She is not your mom!" I cried at Jessa.
"Honey, don't be rude," said Mom and asked Jessa if she was hungry.
Then mom ran down the stairs to get a snack for Jessa.
"Mom!" I ran after her.
"Yes?"
"I don't want a twin sister," I said.
"Tessa! Don't say that! Jessa is really nice!"
"No, she isn't!" I cried. "Why can't you just put her in an orphanage or something?"
"I can't do that!" Mom replied. "Besides, she is our daughter and your sister. I can't do that."
I huffed and went upstairs.
I went into my room and saw...MY WHOLE ROOM WAS A MESS!
Jessa was laughing evilly. "Your life is about to be ruined."
"You! Evil twin sister!" I shouted.
