I had just remembered the papers which I had tucked into my pocket. I told the girls about it.
They agreed to open it once we got to the golf cart, which was still parked outside.
We slowly crept outside, unseen.
Our golf cart stood still. "Are you sure we have enough petrol?" Sally asked.
I looked in the trunk. Yes, we had a few litres left to last us for at least 8 miles.
"How far is the airport?" Serena asked.
"I don't know," I answered.
Sally was bending over the GPS. "It says 100 miles. Why?"
"Oh, well we needed to ride to the airport so we could catch a plane or something," Serena replied.
"A plane?! Why?!" I cried, shocked.
"Just joking, of course not. We need to go to the police station and inform them about Ms.Vicky. Plus, we don't know the way and-"
But before she could finish her sentence, Ms.Vicky and the orphans came outside.
We got into the golf cart and made sure we were buckled up and packed.
They did not see us as we took off, but we stopped at a nearby alleyway, to catch our breaths.
Just then, I heard my stomach rumble.
"Who's stomach was that?" Serena asked.
"Me," I said. "I'm hungry,"
"I'm hungry too!" Kelly cried.
"Should we stop at a shop or something?" Sally asked.
"We don't have any money," I stated.
"I think I have some money in my pocket," Serena said and dug into her pocket.
She took out 70 dollars. "Oh, um, will this be enough for food?"
"If we can buy a pizza and some drinks and save money for some other stuff, maybe we can survive," Sally said.
"We already have water, so we'll buy a small pizza that we need to save," Serena told us and got out of the golf cart.
A few minutes later, she came back carrying a bag that says "Silvia Cooks".
"Wait, is that SILVIA COOKS?!" I shouted.
"Yeah," Serena said, raising her eyebrows.
"But- that's the woman you told us about when you met us a month ago," said Sally, widening her eyes.
"Yes, exactly! The Bitermanns are just 5 minutes away from here, so we can't run into them or any of the police if they are in town. So, we can help from Silvia!" I ejaculated.
The others cheered, despite the fact that we were all hungry and tired.
We opened up the bag and ate some pizza and had some cookies. Later, we went to buy a newspaper. This time, Sally went, as the police definitely didn't know about her.
We watched Sally as she went up to some random newspaper seller and asked for a newspaper.
The seller gave her the newspaper and took 2 dollars. Then suddenly, he jumped.
"YOU'RE THE GIRL FROM THAT MISSING CHILD REPORT!" He shouted.
Sally looked positively frightened. So Mr. And Mrs.Marron had filed a missing child report. Great.
Sally ran back to the car. "STEP ON IT SERENA!" She shouted.
We sped off from the place at high speed. I'm never going back to the town again.
