Kayla is a nameless orphan, who is being ill-treated by her foster family. She runs away, only to fall in the hands of other foster families, who treat her worse than ever. Kayla soon discovers she has a half-older sister, who betrayed her, but lived a life of misery. Kayla can't do anything but save Karen, or worse, become a slave.
I slowly climbed down the building. The window was extremely high up, so it took time.
I dropped down onto the grass and realized it was wet. Why?
I then realized it was morning and there was dew.
What?!
How come it's already morning?!
Oh well, time goes by fast.
I knew the orphanage door would be locked.
I saw the Karen girl in the distance, washing clothes.
The back door was open. I quietly slipped in.
Inside it was closer than ever. I mean, it's winter.
The floor was hard. The tables were hard too.
How did the children live here?
I noticed there was a bowl of cold soup on one table and a plate of broccoli and tomatoes as well.
Ew. What type of breakfast is that? Even at the Bitermanns, I didn't have such a horrible breakfast.
There was a flight of stairs leading up to a dark hall.
I slowly crept up, the floorboards creaking softly underneath me.
The hallway was lit with only one candle. I grabbed it and found a door in the way which looked like a good place to lock the girls.
I tried the door, but it didn't open. I tried again and it flung open.
No girls.
Then I realized it was someone's dorm. The lights were on, so I was careful.
I snooped around.
There was a dusty old desk and a bunk bed.
So it was someone's dorm.
I opened the desk's drawer and saw a few papers.
I took them and crammed them in my pocket (you didn't know I had a pocket, did you? Ha)
Suddenly, there were voices.
"Is there someone in Karen's dorm?" I heard a voice shout.
FAITH!!
Then it was Sienna. "I think so, let's go see who it is,"
I'm doomed. Only the windows are gonna save me now.
In panic I ran out the door and down the flight of stairs to meet with Faith and Sienna.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Faith said, grabbing me by the arm.
I pushed her away and ran outside.
"GET HER!" Ms.Vicky shouted.
I ran and ran. The front door was open. I ran in.
(how much more running?)
There was the smelly kitchen.
Then there was an open elevator leading upstairs.
I don't know what I was thinking, but I looked down and saw a trapdoor.
A basement?!
All villains like Ms.Vicky have basements!
So of course, Sally and Serena could be in there!
I quietly opened it and jumped in.
Ow.
Ow.
Ow.
Ow.
Ow.
Ow.
My- bang!
"Help us!" Someone was crying.
Sally!!!
"Hellllpppppppppp!"
Kelly?!
"Help!"
Serena!
But%u2026 Kelly?!
"I'm coming!" I shouted. "KAYLA!!"
I saw them, in a cage, tied up.
"I'm coming!" I repeated, out of breath.
I grabbed a key on the floor and opened the lock.
I untied them and hugged all of them.
"Yes, you saved us!"
"What's going on here?"
Uh-oh.
It was Ms.Vicky, Faith, Sienna, Amy-Allen and KAREN!
"I see we got our little prisoner here,"
"No," I said, I don't know why.
"Yes," Ms.Vicky glared at us.
She ordered her dumb crew to tie us up again.
We were tied up, more tightly this time. Faith was sitting on a chair, looking after us.
Pretty soon, she fell asleep. And so did Kelly.
Gosh, they must've been up all morning.
I whispered to the other two, "So.. how did Kelly get here?'
Serena explained. "Basically Kelly was here before. When she went down the river, Ms.Vicky found her and took her. Then, she ran away again, because they were treating her meanly. Amy-Allen found her yesterday and locked us up here,"
"We apologized to Kelly," Sally said. "Now she's our own sister,"
"Okay, good. Anyway, how do we escape?" I asked.
"What about we try to untie ourselves while Faith is still asleep?"
This was Sally.
"Good idea," I agreed.
We slowly used a trick (we saw it on YouTube back at the Marrons Household) to untie ourselves. Soon, we were free.
Kelly was wide awake now.
"Kelly wants to go home," she cried.
"SHH!" We whispered.
"Now how do we open this lock?" I wondered.
Serena pushed it. It didn't budge.
"Look!" I cried. There was the key, on the floor again.
I reached out and grabbed it.
I handed it to Serena, who stuck her hand out of the bars and tried to open.
"It's not opening!" She cried.
"Shh!" We cried too, but it was too late, Faith woke up.
"You can't open it!" She cried. "It'll only open if I say 'open',"
The cage gate opened.
"No!" Faith shouted. "MS.VICKYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!"
Ms.Vicky came running.
Kelly ran out of the cage.
Kelly grabbed a chair and threw it at Ms.Vicky.
Ms.Vicky fell.
"Yes!" We shouted and was about to run out when the cage door shut.
No!!
Ms.Vicky got up and grabbed the chair. She threw it at Kelly.
Kelly fell, unconscious.
"NO!" We shouted. "Kelly is just a little-"
"You're not gonna escape!" Ms.Vicky yelled. "You're the best guard ever, Faith. Come to the kitchen for some cookies,"
Faith happily followed Ms.Vicky.
UGHHH!
"What do we do?!" Serena cried.
Suddenly, Kelly got up.
"AHHH IT'S KELLY'S GHOST NOW-"
"It's not my ghost, it's me!" Kelly said. "I was pretending,"
Oh good!
We cheered. Kelly grabbed the key (once again on the floor) and opened the door.
It opened!
We cheered louder.
We slowly pulled open the trap door.
"How do we climb up?" Sally asked.
I ran back to the cell and grabbed the rope.
Serena took the rope and threw it up. A table shifted upstairs.
"It hit the table!" Sally cried.
The table fell down the trap door.
NO NO NO NO.
We screamed as the table came crashing down.
But it seemed to be a good ladder.
We climbed up and were safe. Finally, Out of that gloomy basement!
Wait.. the papers!
