Chapter 12 of 30 - Kelly...

We had seriously just thrown Kelly down the river! I can't believe we did that. Or, I. "Wow, did we just do that?" Sally said. "Yep, we threw Kelly down the river," Serena, Sally and I walked back to the picnic area. "What will your mom say?" I asked. "She'll be really sad and disappointed," "Don't worry," said Serena. "We'll pretend we're asleep and we don't know what happened to Kelly," We pretended to be asleep. Just then, Mrs.Marron woke up. "Girls, do you know where Kelly is?" She asked, sounding worried. "No, we've been sleeping. But, the last time we saw her was near the river," Serena lied. "KELLY!" Mrs.Marron screamed, horrified. She and us ran to the river. "Girls, we're looking for Kelly," Uh oh. So we pretended to be really worried about Kelly. We went up a rock. "Um Serena, I see Kelly from up here," Sally said, suddenly. Mrs.Marron came running. "Where?!" And indeed, we saw Kelly. She was sitting next to the train track. "Kelly!" Mrs.Marron shouted. "Kelly!'' "Great," said Serena, sounding disappointed "Now we-" Suddenly, a train was heard and seen in the distance. The train began to edge where Kelly was sitting. "KELLY, NO KELLY!!!" Mrs.Marron screamed. As soon as the train had gone, Kelly was not there anymore. Mrs.Marron turned to us. "You put her in the river, didn't you?" Uh oh. I froze. Serena and Sally stayed silent. "I'm ashamed of you girls," said Mrs.Marron and sighed.
