When you're a twin, people seem to thing you and your twin are very similar. Not in Goldy and Silver's case! These two twins couldn't be more different. However, as they transition into high school, the siblings must find a way to balance each other out. If not, it could send the whole school crashing down...
"Why did today have to be the day of the tropical storm?! This is ridiculous!!!" Goldy yelped. She wasn't kidding; the winds of the storm were so strong that the twins were almost swept away a few times on their way to the main building from the dorms, with the rain felling like glass pellets on their skin. It was just as horrible inside as it was out, though. As soon as the siblings stepped foot in the school, they were greeted by a stressed-out Ivory, who had tears streaming down her oddly red face. "Ivory?! What happened?!" Silver exclaimed, pulling her in for a hug. Ivory said nothing, she just pointed to the school billboard where all the info on school events were put. The twins angrily walked over to it and what they saw infuriated them even more. A large, neon piece of paper was smack in the middle of the board, sure to catch anyone's eye. Written on it in big, black letters was "Goldy versus Silver turns into Gay versus Straight!!!" and on each side of the text was a picture. One... was Goldy holding hands with Layla, and the other was Ivory kissing Silver on the cheek. "H-how did they see us?" Silver stuttered. "The photography team took pictures of us kissing! Now people are calling me 'Silver's Property'!!!" Ivory cried as Goldy's angry eyes widened in horror. "Crap, I gotta find Layla!!!" she exclaimed, turning to run away. "Wait! Tell Layla and Star, if you find her..." Silver called. He hesitated, rapidly thinking of what to say. "... Tell them to meet us at the mall fountain today at 8 PM!" Goldy turned around and smiled. "Can do, brother!" she said, and in a split second, she had quickly hugged Silver and then raced off to find her crush.
"Bro, where are they?" Allister said. Following the twins' instructions, Star, Layla, Ivory and Allister had met up at the nearby mall fountain. "Psst... we're right here!" someone hissed from beside them. Sitting on the fountain ledge, dressed in gray hoodies and black face masks, were Silver and Goldy. "Guys? Why are you-" "No time to talk, lets go," Silver said, The twins pulled their friends into a nearby fancy pizza place and ordered a table for 6. After getting situated, they pulled off their hoods and masks. "So..." Silver started. "Things at school have gotten too far..." "You're telling me! You can't walk in any hall around here without people bickering over you too!" Star exclaimed as the waitress set out a large appetizer of cheesy bread and fries. "Exactly. things will only get worse from here. So, I have a plan... a very risky one," Silver said. Everyone leaned in to hear what he had to say, especially Goldy. She honestly had no clue what he was planning. "So, a couple days ago, I watched a mini movie on social media, and the main character said something that caught my attention; 'They only care when I'm dead'." Ivory's fox ears began to lower, but Silver calmed her down. "I'm not gonna kill myself, nor anyone else... but what if the phrase was 'They only listen when you're gone'?" Now Goldy was even more curious. "Bro, what exactly are you saying?" she whispered. The next words were nothing that anyone was expecting to hear:
"I'm saying that you, Goldy, and I will be running away for a while."
