When you're a twin, people seem to thing you and your twin are very similar. Not in Goldy and Silver's case! These two twins couldn't be more different. However, as they transition into high school, the siblings must find a way to balance each other out. If not, it could send the whole school crashing down...
Two weeks. That was all the time the group had to prepare for prom. Allister and Star decided to go together AS FRIENDS, just to be clear, and Silver asked out Ivory and Layla asked out Goldy! Of course, they said yes, and soon went out to buy their prom outfits. Goldy settled on a casual, sleek, golden-silk dress and a matching silver-fabric fascinator, and Silver decided to wear a gray tuxedo and a yellow-thread tie. The final plan was, since the twin's parents had agreed (yes, they knew all along), they hire some bodyguards in case there was a stampede. After being properly welcomed back by Layla and Ivory, the twins would walk up on stage and take turns explaining their motives, the big, elaborate plan, and point out how the two teams have ended between the school. From then on out, it was partying, reuniting with their other friends, and having the times of their lives. The group finished planning in about a week, and Silver and Goldy actually decided to go home early so they had time to prepare. The big question now was, will everything go as planned?
Prom night had come way too fast. Held in the cafeteria, the lights were turned down low with strobe lights from the DJ set on stage streaming through the air. Chips, pizza, and more were held at the food stations, and the entire grade level was there, jamming to music like "Dance Monkey" by Tones and I, and even the music from the popular Coffin Dance meme. Layla was showing off her mage powers off to everyone by making a cup of water dump on her childhood bully, then flying up high when he lunged at her. Star and Allister were chilling by the food, snarfing down pizza and chips with their friends Ashe and Hazel. Ivory, however, was going couple to couple, asking for a picture of them and talking about how happy they were as a couple. That was part of the plan. Most couples got together a while after Goldy and Silver had vanished, as without the twins (who were secretly waiting in he nearby gym), they no longer felt pressured to choose a favorite. Finally, Layla and Ivory got up to the microphone and quieted everyone down. "Is everyone enjoying prom?!!" Ivory called into the mic. There was a smattering of cheers and applause. "So, we came up because we had something serious to say..." Layla said. "Do you guys miss the twins? Goldy and Silver?" There was a moment of silence, then an ear-deafening round of applause. "Well, then, we have some people very special to all of us who would like to say hello...." Ivory said. She and Layla motioned towards the largest doors in the cafeteria, and at that moment... Silver and Goldy, standing there, smiling at the shocked crowd.
