There was a blast of smoke.
And then, when the smoke cleared, Mum and dad were gone.
"Oh no, Ella took them!" cried Jade, wringing her hands.
"What do we do?" I said.
"Let's go up the passage," answered Jade fiercely.
"You're right," I replied.
And we set off into the passage. It was dark (as always) and it was more damper than ever.
"What do you think caused the explosion?" I asked Jade.
She shrugged. "Must've been Ella's ghost magic. But the passage is really black and smoky, so it might've not been Ella,"
I nodded.
We finally reached the end of the passage.
It led to the attic again, but it was more smokier and damper.
"Gosh, what do you think happened?!" cried Jade.
I didn't know what to say.
It must've been a bad explosion.
All of a sudden, there was a loud noise.
Seven darkly-dressed girls emerged in front of us. But they weren't ordinary girls, they were fairies!
They all had black hair, black and grey clothes and ugly faces.
Their wings were ugly and dirty as well, although quite big.
"I think these are the dark fairies from Ella's darker's song!" Jade cried.
"You know, the part that goes, 'Where there is nothing but darkness, surrounded by the evil fairies,' and I think those are the fairies in the song!" she added, pointing to the fairies.
"Drat," said one fairy. "Where are the humans?"
"I don't know, Layla," said Drat.
"Kelly, Holly, Drat, Layla, Ronnie and Abbe, listen to me," said an elderly fairy, who was the ugliest of all.
Everyone turned to her.
"Yes, Allie?"
Allie smirked evilly. "We are going to capture one of the girl humans, kill her and make her one of us. There needs to be at least 8 fairies, "
Me and Jade, who were hiding behind boxes, gasped.
Who was it going to be?
