Laying in bed
I wait for the first ray of light to flood my room
Wanting it to be day
So then I can run
And feel the sun kiss my skin
I want it to be day
to see the colors
And feel the brush of a butterfly's wing
Wanting to hear the chatter of the birds
The breeze of the window blowing the trees leaves
I want it to be light
And see children running through soft grass
Rolling down hills
And when its day
I will go to bed
And wait for the next time I see light
