The Town of Earthblood, like its name, was unique (that was one way to put it). The houses were worn down, the joy dying and Earthblood Forest- the one that always supported the young forms of Eva and me, losing its life, just like the rest of the town.
"No wonder we don't see them near the forest," A boy a few years short of 17 said, "it's holy, and witches are wicked."
I ignored him. Whatever you're feeling, put on a straight face and always look strong, don't break, that will give them an opportunity, Eva had said, knowing that one of these days, the bullying and picking might finally get to us.
"The Town's Witches." A young girl snorted, scrambling away as she caught the death glare I shot her.
That's what we were, or we were supposed to be. Witches, wicked, evil, and ruthless.
