Chapter 1 of 1 - Raininess

Rain, rain, please don't go away! Come again another day too. I like how you may the clouds look good, And the rain thick. When I go outside with my jacket, I take off my hood. I try to stick out my tied tongue and lick. I watch the mice in their little cottages, Grab some berries and hurry in, And snuggle on the couch by the window with their furry kin. The forest turns into a network of luscious ponds and crystalline streams, Like the wilderness adventures from my wildest dreams. Toads hop along the sidewalk with their black umbrellas, Skip along and sing capellas. Then the crane flies come out and wander cluelessly, Admiring the works of nature, done so beautifully. Then the worms slither back into the ground after a refreshing bath, Carefully following their previous path. I watch as the squirrels gather preset glass bottles of rainwater, Pop in a tiny cork, and back to the forest they totter. Finally once all the rain has cleared, And every storm-dweller has appeared, I run to my room at lightning speed, Grab a snack and some blankets, And settle down to read.
