My life went down,
Like a lightning strike.
Like a plasma blast,
In the middle of the night.
My soul floated like a helium balloon,
Into the universe.
Over fields and sand doons,
Into stardust and light,
The milky way.
I had a nice time alive.
I lived for a while, lived the good old days.
I watched the cosmos expectantly,
Waiting for a resting place.
And I landed on a distant planet in space,
With trees thirty feet high,
And crystalline rivers that never go dry.
I'll be here for the rest of my second life...
All because of a lightning strike.
