My teacher was Mr. Vodrayca, who seemed pretty nice, except for one problem...
"Ah! Class, this is our new student, Madelyn-Leigh Decker."
"I go by Madelyn," I grumbled.
"Right! Well, we are going to introduce ourselves. When I call your name, raise you hand, and say hello to Madelyn-Leigh!"
"Madelyn," I muttered under my breath.
It took a while for everyone to get situated. But it turns out Blondie's name is Debbie, Redhead is Annie, and Sunglasses is named Hallie.
After all that was finally over, Mr. Vodrayca said, "Madelyn-Leigh, you may sit between Debbie, Annie, and Hallie. We keep this seating chart for the whole year."
I looked over at Debbie, Annie, and Hallie, and they were putting on makeup and smiling cruelly at me.
