Jade is a young girl with a secret. What is that secret? Well lets fine out. She sneaks out one night to see the real world and she fines out what her she really becomes when she blacks out.
They screamed and I didn't care...Why didn't I care?!......Why didn't I try to stop myself?....Why did I let this happen!! I carried him in my arms. My torn shirt was covered in blood and food. I could taste the blood in my mouth. I could her cope cars in the distances. I tripped and rolled down the hill. I held him tight and kept him from getting anymore injured. I stood up and kept running. Everything was perfect but of course I ruined it. Your probably so confused...I will start from the beginning. My name is Jade well that's what Marcy called me. It all started one night when I was walking through the forest. It was raining and cold.
My rag that I call a dress was dripping wet.
"Gotta..F-fine food"
I was so hungry...I was starting to lose control but I couldn't let that happen. I sat a house in the distances. Were there's a house there's a garbage can somewhere. It was better to eat trash then a raw animal. I ran as fast as I could. I looked around for the trash. There was a trash can sitting at the end of the drive way. I looked in it. Nothing. I started walking to the house. I thought maybe I could fine something. But I knew what was gonna happen if I didn't get food. I came up to the door and banged on it.
"Please! Please I need food" The door opened. I old woman was at the entrances.
"Oh child are you okay?"
"N-no I need food" I looked up at her. She stared into my eyes.
"Come in quick!"
I ran in and she sat me down at the table. I slowly lost myself. Everything went black. I couldn't remember what happened after I lost control. I woke up in a nice comfy bed. It was a lot better then the sidewalk or the ground. I stood up. The Old woman entered the room.
"Hello are you feeling better?"
"Uh yes I..I am"
"Good I brought you some more food. We wouldn't want you to get hungry again"
"S-so you saw it?....."
"Yes but don't worry you may stay here if you like"
"R-really?"
"Yes child someone with needs like yours needs a good home"
"Y-your not scared? o-or angry?"
"No child"
"T-thank you"
"Your most welcome. My name is Marcy Gardens"
"M-my names....uh..I don't want to say...I'm sorry"
"Oh its okay I will just name you another name"
"O-okay"
"Hmm I will have to think of one. Well lets not waste this food. Eat it before it gets cold"
"Oh I d-don't mine it cold"
"Well you deserve a nice warm meal. Now eat up"
I started eating. It was the best meal of my life. Thats how I meet Marcy. Marcy was like a mother to me. She home schooled me and raised me. Decided to call me Jade and she loved me and I loved her. Your might be wondering what what she was talking about when she said: Needs like yours. Well I have a secret a very very strange secret but its hard to explain.
"Jade! Time to eat!"
"I'm coming!"
I wa sitting in a tree. Why? well I don't know I just like climbing trees. I climbed down. I got to the bottom and jumped.
"I'm starving"
I ran to the house.
"Okay sit down"
I got in the chair and waited.
"Oh Jade you were playing in the trees again weren't you?"
"Yes I was"
"Look at you your a mess"
"I know I'm sorry Marcy" She sighed and handed me a plate with food on it.
"Oh well at least you had fun. Now lets eat"
We started eating. I swallowed and then start speaking.
"Marcy what are we doing to day?"
"Oh the usually dear"
"Oh..Uh I was wondering if we could go out to a uh what are they called? Those places where they serve food?"
"A restaurant?"
"Yes a rest-or-ant"
"Oh Jade you know we can't"
"But I have learned to control it more and-"
"Jade we aren't going anywhere you know why we can't go. I'm sorry dear but that's how it is"
"Okay...I understand"
She frowned and finished eating. After I was done I went back outside. I climbed back up and sat on a branch. When I climbed up here I feel like I'm at top of the world.
"The sky is beautiful today"
My long brown hair moved in the wind. I felt happy living with Marcy but I wanted to go see the world...but I can't do that...why? Well I am not like normal children. Like I said I have a secret the secret is...I'm a monster...I don't know why but I black out a lot and when I do that I hurt people and they get scared of me. I wish I didn't do this. I just want to live a normal life like other kids but I can't....Or can I? I know Marcy would be very angry with me but I needed to see the world.
"I can't stay here forever"
I got down from the tree. I was going to sneak out tonight and see the real world at least once. It was a simple plan but would Marcy catch me? Well I would never know if I never tired.
