"Surprise!" Holly said sarcastically, hitting that one cop on the head in a friendly manner, but she wasn't his friend, so there was some hate to it. "Mr. drunk rat, I got a job."
"It's Calvin, I saw your score."
"I bet you did."
"What's she doing here?" Calvin asked as the chief walked by.
"She's our new detective." The chief answered, she was a woman with long red hair and green eyes. Her face was freckled and she wore a navy pencil skirted business suit.
"Yeah, turns out my college courses on criminality and psychology are paying off. I've always wanted to be a detective. And look at me, I didn't even have to finish college."
"I've been working for that position for years! Chief, please, take my word, this girl isn't okay."
"And why's that?"
Calvin didn't answer.
"Well, I'm going to be super busy as a detective, but maybe I'll stop by one day to get some reports filed, pi." Holly smiled, she wasn't feeling like smiling but this man hung her daughter's life on the line a didn't even care, so as long as she could annoy him, that was great.
