Zuzanna Kowalski is living through history! She used to be a normal 14 year old girl living in Warsaw, Poland. But ever since the German soldiers attacked her town, things aren't the same. Her parents were shipped off the concentration camps, so it's just Zuzanna. She meets secret societies, soldiers, traitors, prisoners, kids just like her, and so much more! Can Zuzanna fight, or will the soldiers destroy her?
"Ahh!" Zuzanna and the girl screamed.
They saw that it was a girl that looked about their age. She was wearing all black and had thick brown hair.
"Come with me!" The mysterious girl said.
"How do we know if we can trust you?" Zuzanna asked.
"Just come with me! Unless you want to DIE."
"Okay, we're coming," Zuzanna said.
They ran and ran. Finally, they came to a halt. The girl looked down at the ground. Then, she knocked, but it sounded like a song. A small opening in the ground opened up, and she climbed in.
"Come on!" She said to them.
Once all of the girls were in, the girl Zuzanna had hidden in the vents with, said something.
"Thank you so much for saving me. Climbing in the vents was a smart idea. My name is Maja Nowak. What is your name?" Maja said.
"My name is Zuzanna Kowalski. But who are YOU?" Zuzanna asked, turning to the mysterious girl dressed in all black.
"I'm Lena, just Lena. And this is a secret organization against the Nazis." Lena explained.
