Chapter 2 of 2 - Starting Point

It pains me that I don't have the courage to fight back, and speak up for myself. All this built up anger and sadness is started to get to me. I've started picking up bad coping habits, it's just weird to me how someone can be so oblivious to how other people feel, and all they do is put a font and act all innocent like they don't know any better. It frustrates me to the point where I don't care anymore, and I don't react as much because I'm used to it. I let out a sigh and get up to grab my backpack. It's been 2years since I left my other school. It's a shame I had to move back because of my mom's job. I like it here in Covetown it's so comforting and quiet compared to where I used to live. Damn back to square one I suppose. I walk out the front door leaving to catch the bus to school. It's just a 5min walk to the bus stop so that's not bad. I guess getting fresh air every morning is good for you. After a short wait, the bus arrives and I get on. Walking down the aisle I notice people staring, I tell myself to acknowledge and ignore. I sat in the last seat in the back and put my headphones in. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turn to look. I squit my eyes when I see a guy trying to talk to me, so I take my headphones out. "Yeah?" I say but more like a question. "U-um can sit here, there's no empty seat left." Some guy says. I look around and see plenty of open seats but I don't question it. I scoot towards the window without saying anything. "Thanks uhh." The guy pauses realizing he doesn't know my name. "Benjamin," I say with a head nod. "Nice to meet you I'm Noah." He says while sitting down and putting his bag in his lap. "Cool," I replied plainly. "Ah a man of a few words, that's okay I can be lowkey awkward." He says while chuckling a bit. I just give him a head nod. "Oh, I see...I wouldn't talk to me either, you know with being popular and stuff haha." Noah says feeling dejected. "It's not that. It's just no one ever talked to me willingly." I stated. "Well, here I am!" He says trying to light up the mood. I smile a bit and say "Sure". Just like that, we began talking the whole ride to school.
