Before I explain this story, those people who have read my other stories as probably wondering why I'm writing over 3 books at the same time. Well, this one was a small chapter series which i wanted to make, since it seemed fun. So, this is a story of a girl who joins this luxury boarding school. She finds friends, enemies and some friendships grow into something that's maybe more. This is a story of The New Girl.
Cassie POV
I was ecstatic, since I had managed to find my brother, after all these years. then I found out I was a demigod, now going to be a spy, ok, this is AWESOME.
Zues led us to a car, that was bright yellow and orange. He got into the driver's seat, and Apollo called shotgun. We got to sit in the very back, and honestly I didn't know how we fit. 20 people in total, in a yellow and orange SUV, how was it possible.
Then I realized I had just accepted the existence of Greek gods, so I couldn't talk about impossible.
"We're going to the Empire state building, so buckle up", Apollo shouted over his shoulder. Athena gave him an annoyed look, and before any of us could put on our seatbelts, the car roared to life and rode, at speeds of at least 100 miles per hour.
"Crazy isn't it?" Fitz asked me. Only then did I realize I was sitting in between him and my brother.
I nodded in response.
"So sis, how's life been treating you?" I brother asked me.
"I'm fine, just moved to California, but mom isn't. she's been crying her eyes out ever since I got into my new school", I looked down at my lap. Only then did I realize, I had forgotten to call her.
I whipped out my phone, and called her, not caring that I was in a car full of gods.
"Why didn't you call me last night?" My mom's voice screamed immediately. she kept raging on about how she had been so worried, and I didn't even have to put the speaker on to hear her, even though the phone was lying on my lap.
Beside me, Keefe snickered. My mom immediately stopped talking.
"Who was that, that was a boy. why do you have a boy in you're room", mom shrieked.
"Mom, it's just..." I looked at Keefe, who nodded. "Mom, it's Keefe."
I heard mom suck in a breath. Then cautiously, I gave the phone to my brother.
he and mom began talking, and though I could only hear one half of the conversation, I understood. She was talking about how she missed him.
Then Keefe said, "Yeah mom. We're taking tham there. Apollo himself came, so did the others."
I grabbed my phone from him, "Mom, you knew?" I accused.
"Honey, I couldn't tell you till the time came." She answered knowing perfectly well why I was mad.
"The time? I could have been with Keefe all this time. But you let me believe he was dead. A year of crying into my pillow every night. A lifetime of wondering who my father was, and you knew this whole time", I seethed.
"We'll talk about this later. Tell you're brother I love him. You too honey", She cut the call. She actually cut the damned call.
I sat there, staring at my palms. My whole life was a lie. and I was not happy about it.
"You cried ever night for a year?" Keefe asked. I only nodded.
Then I felt arms wrap around me. But it wasn't Keefe. Oh no. It was the other boy sitting next to me.
I squeaked as Fitz gave me a hug. Then he released me a second later, noticing the glare Keefe was giving him.
"Do I need to deal with him like I dealt with Thomas?" Keefe asked, still death staring the boy.
"No", I laughed.
"What did he do to Thomas?" Fitz ventured.
"He almost broke his arm for giving me a teddy bear on valentines day when we were nine", I told Fitz, who shuddered, and half scooted away from me. I laughed. Then we stopped, in front of the Empire State building.
