Before I explain this story, those people who have read my other stories as probably wondering why I'm writing over 3 books at the same time. Well, this one was a small chapter series which i wanted to make, since it seemed fun. So, this is a story of a girl who joins this luxury boarding school. She finds friends, enemies and some friendships grow into something that's maybe more. This is a story of The New Girl.
"Honey, wake up, it's your first day of school!"
Cassie opened her eyes to the bright sunlight that was filtering through her window. She glanced at her clock, to see that it was 7 in the morning. The school was 15 minutes away, tops, and she knew that she had plenty of time, but her mom would keep calling her till she arose, so Cassie got up and stretched her legs. She went to the bathroom and came out 20 minutes later after brushing her teeth and taking a quick morning shower. She went downstairs to her practically bare dining room. It was empty, except for a small table and 3 stools. She sat down and drank the milkshake her mom handed her. She gulped it down fast.
"I'm making pancakes get ready for school and I'll give them to you. then We'll leave", Her mom's eyes looked slightly red and they had bags under her eyes. She had obviously been crying. The new school Cassie was going to was a boarding school, so she would only get to see her mother on weekends or holidays.
(Author's note: I don't live in California so I don't know how things work there. I'm just going by what I see on google and my imagination)
Cassie nodded glumly and walked back to her room. It too was practically empty. This was because, Cassie's family had only moved there a week ago, and her father was already away on a business trip, so she and her mother had some trouble fixing up the place. Cassie wanted to make a good first impression, so she put on a cute tank top she had found and a nice pair of jeans. She changed, fixed her hair, and went down. Half an hour later, at 8, Cassie was already in the car, after a filling breakfast of pancakes, maple syrup, and blueberries. Her mom was driving slow, and it still only took about 20 minutes to reach. Cassie gasped. The school was big, huge actually. It had the main campus site, and in the background, Cassie could see the small houses which were their dorms. She waved her mom goodbye, promised to call at night, and made her way to the main building.
