Today was the strongest earthquake we had ever gone through. Every inch of the forest shook so violently that half of it fell. The pain in my heart was unbearable, but I had to be strong. I was, after all, the forest's only hope. How would the Forest survive without me?
When it was over, my favorite tree, Babous (BAH-boos), called me. "Erica" it whispered in the wind "You must listen. Our time is almost over, soon, death will come for all." I shed a tear at the thought of it. "Can I stop it???" I asked. "Yes, Daughter of Nature, yes you can. As you know, Mother Nature is the cause. She is angry. You must go and find her. You must leave this place" "WHAT?!? Leave?!? But how could I? All of you, the trees, and the animals!" "Oh, don't you worry. Trust us." Babous replied. I took a deep breath and said "Ok Babous. I am ready. Where should I look?" Babous closed his eyes for a moment, and then replied "In the Underworld. Do what you must." Before she could reply, Babous gave her one of some of his sap and blocked her out. Her only option was to move on and go to the Underworld; go to Mother Nature.
