A sequel to Lost in Finn Island, starring Pearl, Chloe, Jason, and Michael. Follow their adventure through happiness and sadness, drama and relief. A great feel and thrilling story.
Pearl and Chloe were back at work, but this time, they didn't make jokes or talk happily. They just did what they were told and odd jobs around the zoo.
“Chloe, I'm sure there is something more to this than you quite understand.” Pearl was trying to make
Chloe feels better, but it wasn't working.
“Who invites a girl a ten in the night without intentions of sleeping with her?” Chloe was not buying it.
“Maybe there is a reason, you really jumped to conclusions there.”
“Then let him come and explain himself,” Chloe said.
“I think you need to talk to him.”
“What? No!” Chloe said, “He's a filthy cheater.”
“How can you know that?”
“He invited a girl over to his place at 10:00.”
“Jessica is older than him! And they've been friends for years. So what if he invited her over?”
Chloe sighed, “I don't know Pearl… I'm paranoid. One thing leads to another.”
A woman came into the room and said, “Miss Dales? there is someone wanting to see you outside.”
“Alright, I'll be out in a sec.” Pearl looked back at Chloe, “I still think you need to talk to him.”
“Hmph.”
Pearl left the room to see who called her.
“Hello?” Pearl greeted her.
“Hey. Are you Pearl Dales?”
“Yes.”
“Ok, hey we have a problem over in Sector N, could you come to check it out?”
“Sure.” Pearl agreed.
The two began walking towards Sector N, the Savanna section, while the woman explained what was going on.
“Something in the tiger enclosure is scaring them. One even tried to break the glass.” She explained.
“Oh no!”
“We need someone to go in and see what it is, but no one will volunteer.”
“No wonder!”
“Well, we obviously would collect the tigers first, so it would be safe.”
“And what do you need me for?”
“We were wondering if you would go.”
Pearl stopped dead in her tracks. The other woman didn't even notice that Pearl had stopped until a bit.
“We figured since you do this type of stuff a lot already you might be up for it.”
That's when she noticed Pearl wasn't by her side anymore. She looked behind herself and noticed that Pearl had stopped moving.
“What?” she asked.
“I've only done maintenance checks with the penguins!” Pearl exclaimed.
“Do you know someone that might do it?”
“No.” Pearl answered quickly, but then said, “Well… I… if you made sure there are no tigers left in the enclosure… I guess I could.”
“Great!”
They had reached the enclosure, so Pearl worked out the details with the manager there. They gave her a vest and tranquilizer gun just in case, and she was ready to go.
“Hey, quick question, why isn't the police doing this?” Pearl asked.
A man sighed and answered, “Things have been going wrong all over the park lately. The boss has been able to keep it up for now, but the government is no doubt going to shut us down if we keep reporting errors. They will say the park isn't safe.”
Pearl thought back to the laboratory, and all the failed attempts at taking down the park. Before she could say anything though, she was on her way into the tiger enclosure.
