A simple poem that I wrote about climate change and how it's affecting the earth, our beloved home. Climate change is a serious thing and we shouldn't ignore it.
The Earth was once filled with no plastic in oceans,
No fires to burn down the amazon forests.
Nature grew freely and raised all emotions,
Animals ran happily, the air at it's purest.
But through all those years, all humans cared for,
Was factories and steam powered engines galore.
They filled the air with pollution and gas,
And, now strive for an answer as to what caused this mess.
The oceans are rising, more hurricanes up-sizing.
And now were devising a plan for the worst!
But in moments like this I believe some might miss,
That the root, the cause of this outbreak, is really us.
So I'm asking, friends, let's not shake it off,
I know that it isn't too late to revise,
We've girted much less than our planet is worth.
If we try hard enough we can, together, save the Earth.
