This is the story Confidence told from Aubrey's perspective. Aubrey must learn that life long friendships are hard to find, and even harder to keep, will she keep all of her friends through their struggles.
Did Tony sit with Olivia, he didn´t sit with me, I like him and my locker is next to his mine, he has never noticed me before, but he should still sit with me, we would be cute together.
I realize that the bell has rung and that I need to go to Olivia´s locker, so I start walking. When I get their everyone is waiting for Olivia and I, I notice that Roxie is sitting down crying, so I sit next to her and give her a hug, like any good friend would do.
Olivia comes down the hallway a few minuets later, but no one said a word before then.
Claire steps forward, ¨Alright, before we ask you questions about that cute boy...¨ but she stops and Olivia is giving her a death stare.
¨We need to talk about something more serious.¨ Trinity says point to Roxie who is still crying. Olivia comes over and sits on the other side of her, I smile at her, but she doesn´t return it.
Roxie begins her story a little more detailed from when she told me, but all I´m thinking is how to get her help.
¨She won´t talk to any teachers or staff about it.¨ Malia says.
¨I won´t no matter how hard you make me.¨ Roxie says with a tears streaming down her cheek.
¨But you have to, this is child abuse.¨ I say, but Roxie shakes her head.
¨Can we change the subject now, you guys promised we wouldn´t take so much time on me.¨ Roxie says gesturing towards Olivia.
¨Right,¨ Caroline says, ¨Olivia, tell us about Tony.¨
¨Seriously, Roxie is being abused and you want to talk about a boy.¨ Olivia says and she rolls her eyes.
¨A cute boy,¨ Claire adds.
¨Seriously Olivia, just talk.¨ Trinity says sitting down.
¨Alright, so, I was getting punched and kicked, you know the usual bulling by the popular gang,¨ she start.
¨WHAT?¨ we all say. She never said anything about being bullied.
¨Do you mean Hannah, Eve, and Patricia from our old school and their friends?¨ I chimes in.
¨I think Patricia goes by Pat now.¨ Caroline says. I´m really confused, if she went by Pat, I didn´t know, and I was her friend.
¨Yeh, them, but can I continue.¨ Olivia says, everyone else nods, but I´m staring at the floor thinking if Pat really was my friend.
¨Any who, Tony asked them to stop and then they started beating him up, and today he sat with me at lunch. And he isn´t cute.¨ Olivia says, I can tell that she is uncomfortable, she is picking at her elbow. I notice that I´m biting my lip, and I stop
¨He likes you.¨ Malia says, ¨It´s kind of obvious.¨.
Olivia walks away.
WHAT? I like Tony, my crush can´t have a crush on my best friend, should I tell Olivia that I like him, what should I do?
