This is the story Confidence told from Aubrey's perspective. Aubrey must learn that life long friendships are hard to find, and even harder to keep, will she keep all of her friends through their struggles.
Olivia and I don´t have any classes together, we live on opposite sides of the school and our lockers are far apart, so she will spend time with Malia, Caroline, Trinity, Claire, and Roxie, so I will try to spend time with them, but I will also hang out with Patricia, Hannah, and Eve, they hang out with boys and girls from other schools.
On the first day of school I sat with the popular gang, I did pick up a few names like Marcus, Jason, Katrina, Willow, and Leo, but their is als this one boy, and I think I have a crush on him, his name is Tony, he´s quiet, and he has long dark hair, he´s also really nice, and cute. I don´t think he notices me though. I don´t get to walk home with them because they live on the other side of school, but what can I do to get Tony to like me without giving it away that I like him.
Anyways, I sometimes feel left out because they always go laughing away from school on the walk home, but one day Tony didn´t show up to lunch. I asked Patricia about it and laughed.
¨Why, are you on his side?¨ She snarks.
¨I have no idea about what happened.¨ I reply.
¨Go sit with your other friends or with Tony, you aren´t welcome here.¨ She says and laughs. I walk towards Roxie who is crying, I hold back my tears, but I can´t help but think that Patricia was my friend, but Roxie is more important.
I sit next to her and give her a hug. She hugs me back, and Caroline nods to her.
¨This weekend my parents got in a huge fight and then my mom left and my dad started abusing us.¨ she says chocking back her tears. I reach over and give her another hug. Trinity get up and walks somewhere and comes back.
¨Alright, Olivia´s locker after school.¨ she says.
¨Can we not talk about me or to long?¨ Roxie says.
¨We promise we won´t,¨ Claire says, ¨Olivia is sitting with a cute boy and he´s definitely into her. I look over to Olivia and she´s reading and Tony is sitting with her!!!!!
