Chapter 1 of 5 - The Tunnel

"Oh, Macy. Are you serious?" Trenton asked Macy. "No, I am only on the ground for no goddamn reason, yes I'm serious!" Macy replied. Oh, hold on a minute. I am ahead of myself. I should explain who I am, right? Wrong. I wish to remain as an anonymous spirit. But perhaps I should explain what is going on with Trenton Gastkey and Macy Muller. It's a small tale, really. It'll all sound heartwarming, until one fateful night. But let me explain. (Trenton: otherwise known as Trent. Macy: Otherwise known as Macy) Trent and Macy grew up together, practically raised as siblings because of how close their families were. They grew up, kept being friends, and staying with each other in good and bad times. They have many memories shared together. And ever since they turned 17, they hung out more, had routines of where they would walk and when they would walk at that place. But there falls their mistake. The Watchers knew where they were, what times they were there, and how long they were there. And that is how The Watchers knew what time was safe to dig. They dug a hole and a tunnel. It ran deep into the ground and opened up to endless dark caverns. The Watchers waited, and when the moment was right, Macy fell down the tunnel. She grabbed Trent's leg to try not to fall and pulled him down with her. Down, down they went. It felt like hours. They reached the bottom and were greeted with freezing cold water that went up to to their noses and left them gasping for air. Cold and shivering, they got out and onto a narrow ledge. The Watchers knew they were there. The Watchers always knew. Hell, they are probably watching me tell you this tale right now, so I should make it quick. The Watcher's smiled. The teens shivered. The world was darkening.
