Chris is a teenager who has abused a girl named Ashley. She is about his age. One day, Chris comes home from work in a mall and is hit by a car. He becomes a ghost, but knows his body is still alive. Being invisible, he decides to follow Ashley. She sees how she lives every day, but her stressful life quickly becomes too overwhelming.
It has been three days since the accident. I have never gotten used to not seeing my feet walking or my nose on my face. Days are lonely. I sit down at the dinner table like everything is fine, but no one makes a plate of food for me. I look at my broken family, my mother, she cant even finish a meal without sobbing and resting her hand on the back of my chair. I only wish I could tell her that I was there, I was not gone.
My brother, Nick, sits in silence now. With no one to share his thoughts. He has never been so quiet, so empty. "I'm here!" I want to shout. But I cannot. I am trapped with no voice. A silence only ghosts will ever understand.
