Chris is a teenager who has abused a girl named Ashley. She is about his age. One day, Chris comes home from work in a mall and is hit by a car. He becomes a ghost, but knows his body is still alive. Being invisible, he decides to follow Ashley. She sees how she lives every day, but her stressful life quickly becomes too overwhelming.
When the car hit me, I felt like I was shoved out of my body, which, turns out, I was. I stood there in shock, staring at my body on the ground. The driver slowly walked out of the car and looked at my body on the ground, then up at my ghost.
"Hope you understand what I did for you boy. Take my advice, make the best of this. I would want to see how, I don't know, someone else lived." He said as he walked back toward his car. He got in and drove away. I was speechless. Some people were walking on the sidewalk starting taking out their phones to record or call 911. I screamed. Not a head turned from the bloody body on the street. I put my hands in front of me but saw nothing. Was I invisible?
An ambulance rounded the corner with its sirens blasting. The men quickly moved the body but they ignored me. I ran up to one screaming,
"Don't you see me? Help me?" I tugged on his arm as I began to cry. I was so confused. What was going on? The man didn't even look toward me so I stepped in front of him, and then the impossible happened. He walked through me. That's when I started to realize, I had become a ghost. I was dead, wasn't I? Then I heard a woman shout from inside the ambulance where my body was,
"He's alive!"
