Chapter 5 of 13 - Separated

The next day, Goldy and Silver walked into school together, like they normally do.Every morning, they walk into the building together, then head down opposite halls. Today, however, there was a group of people in the entrance to each hallway. Odd... Things went from a bit unusual to quite peculiar when Goldy walked down her hall to meet up with Layla. "Hi, Goldy!!!" a guy said. "... What's going on?" Goldy laughed. "Nothing, we just wanted to have with our FAVE twin!" a girl said. Suddenly, Goldy noticed something very peculiar: All the people down her usual hall were wearing the types of cloths she wore; The girls wore simple skirts and yellow coats with the sleeves rolled up, and the boys wore plain yellow T-shirts paired with black pants. "So, you like collecting stones, right?" a boy asked excitedly. "Well, I dropped the literature club so I can collect stones as well! Look!" He showed Goldy a sparkling purple amethyst that faded into sunset-yellow. Goldy glanced back at her brother after complimenting the stone; a girl in a casual gray suit (like how Silver usually dresses) was presenting a manga to him. The twins' eyes met for a few seconds, but then the crowds noticed... and shuffled them away. Even through all the confusion, the two knew exactly what was going through their minds. They were twins, after all. "Hi, Goldy... are you okay?" Layla asked. It was lunch time, and Goldy had just met u with Layla on the roof... only something seemed off. Her hair was wild, her skirt and leggings were wrinkled, and her face was sweaty. It looked like she had just ran a marathon! "Hey Layla..." Goldy panted. She sprawled on the roof dramatically. "No, i'm not okay! All day, people have been keeping me and Silver separate and some of them have been following me everywhere!!! I had to run through the entire school just to shake them off!" she moaned. Layla blushed and laughed. "Sounds like you got your own little fan club! I kinda envy you!" Goldy laughed and pulled herself on the seat next to Layla. "Well, I have much more sympathy for all those famous singers who have to deal with paparazzi and fans," she said. There was a bit of silence, then Goldy cleared her throat. "Layla? Are you, under any circumstance, attracted to girls?" she asked. Layla looked shocked and confused. "Please say yes, please say yes..." Goldy pleaded in her mind. "... I don't really know... I know I'm attracted to some guys, but I've never really thought about dating a girl..." Layla said. She looked up at Goldy's blushing face. "Why?" "Oh god... this is it! Please don't blow it, girl,,," Goldy thought. "W-well, umm... if you were, then maybe you wouldn't mind me doing something that I've been wanting to to do for a while," she said. "Oh yeah? What's that?" Layla chuckled. *kiss*
