As we walked to the park, we were slightly on edge. Sonya had disappeared, sad to know I didn't follow her. She must've known the future. Even though, why didn't she stop me from going with Bridget and Matt? Weird... I was knocked out of my thoughts by the chill in the air. "Whew...It's cold here!" Matt shivered. "What happened?" I sighed, seeing a puff of air go out of my mouth. It was THAT cold. I saw flowers in the lake there. It seemed really relaxing, which I wasn't really used to. But here, was the time for me to think about what had happened. I paused, thinking the ghost lady would appear to ruin the calm moment. Nope, not right now I guess. Maybe she was too tired from chasing us all the time. I went back to my thoughts. It all went from a boring class in math, to all this. If I could go back in time, I would have cherished all those boring times. Right now, I wish I was back in that class. Also, what did that teacher mean by...DNA and children?... Well, probably nothing to think about right now. The park was a calm field with benches and a few playground equipment out in the distance. There was a humongous tree in the middle of the park, which was called the 'Town Tree'. Every special event, all of us go to the tree and we surround it. Then, we begin to write down our wishes on a piece of paper and we hang it on the tree. The pieces of paper that stay on the tree come true, but the ones that fall in the water don't. I felt my pockets of my hoodie. I found my phone, which I hadn't used in a very long time. I decided to use it. "What was the password again?..." I mumbled to myself. I looked through the reflection of my phone. Bridget was kneeling on the ground, eating something. Why was there red on her mouth...? I started to sweat. I walked closer to her. Then I froze. She was eating...
A human hand.
