Chapter 4 of 6 - The letter

Wednesday July 1, 5:00AM I wake up to the thud of a letter landing in my mail chute. Everything from yesterday afternoon floods my mind with anger. It upsets me that we have to live like this, everyday, under someone else's rules. How has the world got like this? What was it like before? So many questions go round in my head, unable to be answered. I want to find out, I want to know everything. I can't just let grandma go, not ever. I twist open the glass tube that the letter came in and unfold the odd note: |Residence 8409, for Kialla Loaden (Juvenile ID Number: 682740)| Your only guardian will be expired on 30/7/4020 at 12:00AM. Her body parts will then be recycled towards making S-bots. She will be dispatched at 5:00AM on the day she expires. As you will no longer have a guardian, you will be transferred to The S-bot Manufactory Centre where you will sort through the rejects. You will be taken there by two of the operators from TSMC at 6:00AM sharp. You will bring only one item of luggage which will be approved by security when you arrive. The Supremacies I feel like I'm going to crumble into a helpless pile of dust. Now I will be sent to this factory working for The Supremacy forever. Then I think about grandma, she must be so upset. I feel so bad for her now, I've been worrying all about what will happen to me while she is just going to be taken away to be made into a robot. I fiddle with the corner of the waxed paper, pondering my thoughts. I'm so confused, why are The Supremacies so cruel? How can they let people die, and then just carry on with their day? I didn't know humans could be so heartless.. Then it hits me. What if they're not human, what if they're aliens! But why does no one know if they are or not? I need to know why The Supremacies are so secretive. This could save grandma, and change the way we live forever.
