Chapter 2 of 14 - The battle of Zharushburg

Era 8, iron age, 10 leisure, 3400 date, Jalasmar Kalasa was a 16-year-old black man. He worked for the sultanate empire. In fact his whole family volunteered as a vassal, his father even became a lord! It was a breezy winter, even though they were in a desert. He visited the nearby village of Kassy. It looked tannish and it didn't really look different, it felt different. It was cold and the wind was very breezy, his body felt numb. The bricks were already beginning to freeze up, and everybody went inside to avoid the cold. "What a disaster," he muttered to himself. He headed toward Kassy castle, the one his father owned. It didn't look as cold in there. The garrisons were all inside, nobody tended to go outside. He came into the castle and everyone looked at him. One said, "Sorry, sir, it was extremely cold out there, we could not resist." "It's okay. You guys are off duty%u2026 for now," he responded. Once the whole garrison heard that, everyone started to cheer. Jalasmar closed the door behind him as he walked out to the city of Karasia, which, of course, his father owned. His horse galloped to the town. Once, the guards saw him, they saluted and opened the large gate. It creaked while he walked inside. He started on the road to the tavern that his sister owned. He sat right next to his friend, Tatotian Rasma. They hangout everyday, some people made fun of "the lord's son" which was them, and didn't drink beer or alcohol. Almost everyone did%u2026 except for them. "Hey, I know there is this prophecy and void thing, do you think it's actually that serious," Tatotian asked. Jalasmar's sister walked by and looked sternly at Jalsmar and Tataotian, "Mr Rasma. I do not allow this talk in my Tavern. And what in lord's sake is the 'prophecy'." She walked away and nearly turned her head to look at them. As she walked away they continued their conversation, "Yeah, I do. My mother is very concerned. I don't know why." Tatotian looked around. The other customers were drinking beer. What Tototian made him satisfied was a game called "cormaha". The game is a war game, it was usually used for generals and military commanders. It was a national game in the Sultanate Empire when it was really interesting to civilians. He pointed to the group that was playing cormaha, "I need to go bye." "Bye," Jalasmar responded. . . . . . . Xenos was NOT happy. Not happy at all. This was the worst day he'd had for the last Millenia! MALEONIC!!!!! Maleonic had thrice crossed dark ones, Maleonic had twice stopped his plans! Maleonic copie his plan, makes them his, makes dark ones wait! Xenos could not bear this anymore...Why did Maleonic use the dark embers!? Wasn't he afraid of the power that Xenos held with them!? Xenos reached out...The dark embers did too. LISTEN TO ME...BETRAY MALEONIC...DESTROY HIM AT HIS FATAL MOMENT%u2026 . . . . . . Era 8, iron age, 10 leisure, 3400 date, Tony Silverson, a 15 year old squire in the homeland Tritannian Empire, in the capital, Zharushburg. His father was a knight. He was in an army of the king of Tritannia, Darenos. His job was to spy on enemies and do dangerous missions. He usually did it with his brother for extra safety. The past days had been one of the most terrible days of his life. Zarushburg was being sieged by an "Enormous" force of void men. They once tried to break in the gate with a stolen ram but the Tritannian army pushed them back. But this time... People think that there will be siege towers. Many were afraid to keep their family in the city, but they couldn't escape because the voids men surrounded the city. Even worse was that his younger sister was sick. And they did whatever they could to save her. The only good part was that he "could" escape, but he never tried it with his sisters and brothers. He "could" only do it alone. He and his brother, who was almost a knight, sat with him in one of the benches in the lord hall. The room was packed with lords, knights, kings, and soldiers. They heard the king, Darenos announced, "we have been surrounded by the voids men, they will soon be attacking us. We will have to defend on the front wall. The left side has a trebuchet. We need something to destroy it. Someone raised his hand, "I will use my markman archers to snipe it. We also have a manogol my majesty." Darenos nodded in agreement, "yes, I will allow you to use the mano-" But, the last thing they heard was a big loud explosion coming from their left. Darenos stepped right into action and pulled his sword out of his belt, yelling, "MEN!!! ATTACK!!!" His brother rapidly ran out of the lords hall, to fight for his country. Tony tried to catch up. He stepped down the stairs. An explosion hit one tower. Men screamed, blood scattered the city. Tony kicked the reins of his horse. It sprinted through the battlefield. Tony yelled at his father and cupped his hands around his mouth, "is it a good Idea to charge!? We will need more great tactics to win. His father looked back , he shouted back, "this is Tritannia. We need to win. Even if we lose a lot of troops, we shall charge to victory!" He went back into the city and climbed up the stairs leading to a tower. The archers got a good range upon the towers and walls. He grabbed his bow out from his back. The screams got louder as the cavalry rode their horses out of the city. Then, a big monster about the size of the whole city towers stomped its foot towards the city. Tony, Aimed at the monster's head. A bright orange glow sparkled on the forehead of the monster. The monster had shadows on his back protecting the monster itself. He thought about the glow on the giant monster's head. Suddenly it struck him, That must be a crystal controlling its body. If I shoot it at the crystal he might fall. The crystal is strong, it probably has a force field around it. He calmed down and erased his thoughts and actually started aiming at the arrow. But unfortunately, it misfired. Little did he know the misfire broke the forcefield! The other archer looked at Tony, he asked, "what're you thinking about." He reached down to get another arrow, "I am trying to hit the orange crystal on that giant's head. Can you help me?" The archer nodded, Tony turned to the archer and it looked as if the archer was really concentrating. Tony asked again, "have you got the target yet. We need it down before it gets on to the towers and walls." The archer had no time to respond, he released his grip on the bow and it flung at the crystal. Tony looked at the monster. The monster's response was as he had predicted. But it got better, the monster fell backward and landed on ist's own fellow soldiers. The soldiers down there didn't know who had saved them, but their savior of them all was Tony. The battle was far from over. He looked to his right to see a bucket with arrows%u2026 precisely 48 of them, Tony looked at his own bag%u2026 26. We can't just fire arrows at void's men. That's just stupidly wasting supplies, He thought. He looked at a battlefield. And what he saw was unbelievable, the general at the meeting!!! He sat back down leaning at the wall. His memory charged back when the general said something, "I will use my markman archers to snipe it. We also have a manogol my majesty," that sentence gave him an idea, snipe, I can snipe the commanders and generals. Maybe I can shoot down the trebuchet. Unfortunately, he looked around to realize the left manongol on the tower was shut down, the only siege equipment they had left were the crossbows set on some of the buildings. He noticed the siege towers and the men below it. He was attempting to shoot one of the men that was controlling the siege tower when there were only 6 men doing it. How could only six men carry a 100 meter siege tower with troops in it?! He aimed the crossbow at the generals as they seemed to glow. It looked as if it was possessing magic. Impossible!!! The void never had this, only the overlord could use the magic of the overworld. He remembered the day the maleonic executed the overlord and never to be seen again. They must have stolen his powers! So that means there must be a sorcerer or a sorceress around here. He aimed to the left of the siege tower. Nothing. To the front of the campsite. Nothing. The only clue left of a general was the shadow horses that they dismounted. An eerie voice behind him whispered, "face it, you're going to die anyway. Accept your fate and be gone without a breath." The voice sounded female, and the tone was a mischievous one. He focused on who it was. He hadn't learned much about the generals. He didn't know their names, age, or family. The only thing they learned were their troops, their skills, and the tactics they used. He grabbed out the encyclopedia and flipped hundreds of pages. He read the page of what he was reading, "Zheria is a sorceress but she is a general at the same time. She was one of the 3 generals to have the Overlord's power." So that explains it he thought. He put the book back into his bag and aimed the crossbow everywhere. He knew he couldn't see Zheria but he could hear her. The problem with that is she can fly away any time. He grabbed out the heavy book again and started to search for the Overlord's power and Zheria's. The only thing he could read as quickly as possible was one paragraph: The secret of finding her is complicated. She has a small crystal she keeps in the officers tent. If you break it the spell is broken. The easiest but a dangerous and risky way of defeating her. Tony sighed. If he was going to save Trittania, he was going to have to do it.
