Chapter 11 of 14 - Maddison

We couldn't go back because the birds couldn't fly in the smoke so we decided to stay in Sage's tree hotel. There were other creatures who decided not to go back home and to stay at the tree hotel so things were getting busy. Grayson helped dig more dens and he also told people how he really wasn't that powerful and stuff, but still, you shouldn't mess with a bear. One day, I saw a raven that was eating the berries from the tree. But this raven had brown wing and the rest of her body was black. She caught sight of me looking at her. "Hey there dear ol' black wolf!" The raven said. "Hi, you can call me Eclipse," I said. "Well, 'ello there Eclipse I'm Maddison, but the folks out there all call me Maddie. I'm a friend of Sage." Maddison said. I nodded. This raven looked like it had sharp eyesight. I told Maddie about my journey. "Ohhhhh yeah, I love adventures!" Maddie exclaimed. "Yes, and I was wondering if you would go out and see if most of the smoke has cleared?" I asked. "Aye aye caption Eclipse!" She said and saluted. After that, she flew off. Now, I gotta admit this bird is weird, especially for a female. I went inside my assighned room. "Where were you?" Daddy demanded. "Outside." "Doing what." "Getting fresh air." "The air outside is not fresh." "The smoke is clearing away." "I know your lying. You were doing something rather then getting fresh air." "Why do you think I was lying?" "You were talking." "Then you know what I was doing." Daddy huffed and lay down. "I'm going to see Redwood and cloud." I said and outside I went. Maddie was waiting for me outside. "All clear." She said. "Like literaly ALL cleared?" I asked. "It's much more clear at north then over here." Maddie clarified. "Ok thanks." I said. I called for daddy and my friends to resume the journey.
