Nora woke to a soft buzzing sound filling her bedroom. She rolled over in bed and looked at her alarm clock. It red to be 3 a.m.
"What is that noise?" Nora wondered out loud, looking around her room to see.
Then she saw it.
Aunt Ivy's book was lying open on her dresser. It was opened to the very last written page. A black hold opened up inside of it and a green light shot from the hole. Nora scrambled up onto her bed and tried to scream, but no sound came out of her throat.
The swirling light came towards Nora, then it sucked her up inside.
Nora, who was finally able to, screamed as she was sucked into a spinning tunnel of green, purple and blue light. It made her dizzy to watch everything around her spin around and around while she did not move.
Nora closed her eyes and waited. Surely, this had to be a dream. It's not like the book could just swallow her up like that, could it?
She didn't have time to think about it, because another black hole opened up and Nora was pushed through.
Down, down, down she fell until hitting the ground.
And then everything went black.
******
Nora opened her eyes. She was lying in a field. A field that seemed oddly familiar.
"Where am I?" she cried, though no one answered her.
She looked around at her surroundings. Bird chirped and the smell of something good filled the air. Nora stood up and started walking towards the smell. It was at the edge of the field, just below a cliff.
She saw three girls that looked exactly alike. They were walking through the town with a family of five.
Then, Nora realized where she was and she gasped.
She was in Hazelwood!
