Harper had worked her butt off and got the mansion done in 2 hours. The whole thing all 4 floors and outside including the barn, the animals, the pool, and the garden. She had no idea how she did it but she did. Brody came back 35 minutes after she finished. She quickly helped him unpack everything, which took an hour, and then Harper made them lunch and they sat down to eat while Brody filled her in on what happened in town.
They finished their lunch and relaxed a bit. Brody watched a football game on the TV and Harper cuddled up beside him and read a book. Harper later got up and headed toward the kitchen to make dinner when the front door burst open. Harper heard Brody scream. She ran into the main living room and screamed herself. Eight demons stood in the living room facing Brody and her. They yelled and charged. Brody pulled out his sword and stabbed the first demon in the heart. It screamed and fell to the floor and then turned to dust. One was coming at Harper and she thought she was going to die.
She knelt to the ground and put her dagger up above her head and before the demon could stop, it fell on her dagger and turned to dust. By then Brody had killed two more. There was four left. Brody charged one and killed it but before she could warn him one of the three left jumped on him and bit him on the shoulder. He screamed so loud it peirced Harpers heart. She got filled with such fury she leaped on the demon and stabbed him in the gut. She swiped and stabbed the other demons until all they were was piles of dust. She rushed to his aid and stopped the bleeding. She cried praying that he would stay alive, and then a miracle happened and her tears healed him and he took in a sucking breath. She cried more tears but tears of joy and she kissed him, long and hard.
