Chapter 1 of 1 - The frog, the squirrel and the owl
Once upon a time there was a frog. He was eight years old. He was all alone and he had no friends. He thought about going into the woods (where he lived) to find some friends. He jumped up and cried in excitement, “Why haven't I thought of that before?!” He packed his bag ready for the big day out tomorrow! Then he fell asleep. He woke up bright and early ready for the big day ahead of him. He put his bag on and went to the toilet (he didn't forget to brush his teeth, luckily). He suddenly remembered that he hadn't watered his plants. So he watered his plants, with fresh water. Then he rushed through the house to the door, opened it, and slammed it back.
After that he was so excited he leaped five hundred times. After all that he set off to find some friends. Luckily he had been in the woods before, but this was very unusual! He hadn't ever thought of this before. Now because he was very intelligent he thought of going up a tree and looking for friends. Then, to his surprise, he saw a squirrel. He went down and asked him if he could be his friend. Then the squirrel replied: 'Yes! I will be your friend! I don't have any friends either.' The frog, which was very happy that he found a friend, said, 'Shall we meet together at
the opening?' The squirrel replied, 'Yes, we shall.' Then he went back home to eat his peanut butter or honey lunch.
After lunch he went out to search for the opening although he had been there before. When he got there he was ravenous even though he had just had lunch. But he was very happy that he found his friend, because he had never had one before. After they had played 'rock, paper, scissors', tag/it, basketball and football, they said goodbye and said we'll meet each other by the monkey puzzle tree.
After a while when they looked at their clocks they saw it was eight o'clock in the morning, and went out to the monkey puzzle tree. They had an idea to find another friend. So they climbed the same tree that Frog did to find Squirrel, and to their surprise they spotted an owl. They went down and called for it and it landed on Frog's arm. They asked him, 'Do you want to be our friend?' and he replied, 'Yes. I'd love to.' Then they said to each other, 'Let's meet each other in the opening tomorrow at nine o'clock in the morning.'
They had a very good sleep and got up at eight o'clock. They met each other at the opening, and played lots of games, like tag, it, 'don't step in the lava', 'rock, paper, scissors', basketball, football, ping-pong, etc. After that they were extremely ravenous, so they agreed to go to Frog's house for tea. Then they went home. THE END.
