In the usually peaceful City of London, people are dying and the city is falling down like dominoes. And when Emma is startled by an old friend one night, she instantly questions whether she is someone she can trust. Little does she know that this meeting will end in a painful death and a series of unfortunate events will soon occur...
Harper took her usual winter coat from the hook by the door and stepped out into the cold, brisk, and frosty air. It was early, and the sky was the color of orange hawkweed. She tended to her little rabbit, scattering some kale in his cage, before running out into the road... unsure of what lay ahead. Soon enough she was at the rails in the middle of the two main roads, ready to run across the next lane. Suddenly as she went running she saw a car coming at full speed around the corner- she would have to be quick to avoid this one. She was so sure she could avoid it. And yet again she had avoided being hit by a Ferrari, but just as she turned around to look at the car, another came from the opposite direction- as she turned back the car hit her faster than a bolt of lightning.
