Chapter 3 of 3 - Pleadings

The next three days were spent asking Damian over and over and over again two questions. 1.) “Can you please train me?” 2.) “What can I do to show you my dedication?” For number one, he always replied with the same answer, “No.” For number two, he always said, “That, you need to figure out.” Several people gave up on asking him to be their trainer so instead, they took their original choice once the principal called them in the office to claim their trainer. After the fourth day, I gave up. He gave the same answers every time and since we don't have school this week, I get ready to do my workout. I put on a sports bra and shorts, then head to our P.E room. I grab some boxing gloves and head to the punching bag. I punch and kick the hell out of those things, pretending they were Cletus and Myles. I throw a punch so hard that it actually goes through the bag. Holy crap. That's when I see him. Damian, watching me from the entrance. Once he noticed I saw him, he gave a kind of annoyed look like he knew what was coming; my questions. I'm sure he was surprised when I gave him a look and just walked out. That night I heard a knock at my door. “Who is it," I yell loud enough so they could hear. “Damian. Can you open the door?” What is he doing here at freaking eleven at night? I get up and open the door. “Yes," I ask. “Would you like to be my trainee?” “Does a bear crap in the woods?!” He gives me a puzzled look. Stupid sayings. “Yes. Yes! Thank you!” I jump up and hug him. He's so tense like he doesn't know what to do with my hug. After a while, he relaxes and puts an arm around my back. This feels freaking nice and then...it happened. Butterflies in my tummy. You can't crush on your trainer, bonehead! He must've felt it too because at the same time we stop hugging, but neither takes our eyes off each other or spaces our proximity. We are standing dangerously close. I want to kiss him all of a sudden. Dumb crush. He's the first to widen our gap. Thank God. I would've closed our gap if he didn't move away. “I should be getting back to my dorm now, Miss Kennedy.” “Okay,” I sounded more disappointed than I meant to sound, “Again, thank you so much, Mr.Athanasiou.” “Damian.” “Right...and you can call me Elizabeth.” “Goodnight, Elizabeth.” Oh.my.Gawd. He does say it with an S! I love it but feel as though I might pass out. “Goodnight, Damian.” And then he was gone.
