The forest seems haunted, but a band of unlucky cats and their wicked owner, Sabrina the Witch of Wicked Grove, are brave enough to face it and beat the odds to find a secluded home.
In the town, about three miles away from The Wicked Grove, there was a strip mall. on the corner of this strip mall there was a soap shop and a bar. By this corner there was a cardboard box. Weather worn and ripped, a soaked sign above read, "KITTENS FOR FREE". Only one kitten remained in the ragged box, skinny and hungry, he stuck out his black paw through the handle of the closed box, hoping someone would pass by and see him before he fainted from the heat. His green eyes closed as his paw slipped back into the box and his body fell limply into the oven-like container.
"Mommy! Mommy! Kittens! Can I get one? Can I get one? Please?" A little boy shouted as he saw the sign.
"We can look." Said his reluctant mother. When she opened the box she was horrified and screamed. terrified, she grabbed her son with one arm and covered his eyes with the other as she fast-walked away. Now the poor kitten was uncovered in the sun, no shelter from the bright rays. Only when the darkness came would he be safe. The darkness is always safe.
