I rushed over to Boris, Axel was squirming behind me. Boris stood tall but you could tell he was in pain. "Hey! Bud, Buddy, what happened! Axel! Get the medkit!" Axel stopped squirming and rushed down the hall. I could tell he was trying to run as fast as his legs would take him. I tried to lead Boris over to the chair by the projector, but he would stumble occasionally. It was hard considering he was two times my size, but I got him there eventually. He struggled to speak but finally said somethin'. "Alice..." he heaved, "Walking... running." I looked at him then at his gash. Axel came darting back with the kit and a towel. "I got em'! What happened!"
"He's tryna explain, ya idiot! Shut your trout so I can hear em'!" Axel immediately closed his mouth, afraid that I might beat em' up. "I'm listenin', Boris. What happened?" I saw that Boris was trying to breathe, the ink was running down his chin. I quickly grabbed the towel and put some water on it to put on the wound. Axel was taking care of the wounds on his face. "I-," he heaved, "I went out, A-Alice (huff) and- and m-monsters..." I thought for a second, trying to piece it together. Alice, monsters... monsters? Oh... poor toons. "What is he trying to say, Ben?" Axel said, trying to squeeze out the towel. I hesitated because I wasn't sure Ms. Alice would be out in the open... unless. "Ms. Alice, she and her ink ridden men tried to take his heart, again." Axel stared at me and all I did was stare back. I scowled at him so that the tension would break. He quickly looked away and tended to the gap in Boris's chest. He lifted his head in confusion. "But, why would Ms. Alice be out in the open like that, especially in the middle of a town?" I knew he'd get it, eventually. "She wouldn't. She's smarter than that and we both know it. The only way Boris would have been attacked is if he went to her base on his own." I looked at Boris and he looked away at that moment. He knew he was guilty. Axel looked like he was about to flip out poor ol' Boris. "Why would you go to Alice's base alone?! Why go at all?! That's suicide! You know she wants your heart, Boris!" I could tell things weren't going to end up well so I held Axel's shoulder to calm him down. "Axel has a point, Boris. Why would you lie to him and sneak off like that? Especially to Ms. Alice's base!" I replied anger rushing through me, but at the same time worried about the guy. Abel's in for one hell of a surprise when he gets back, tomorrow. I saw that Boris wanted to say somethin' back, but before he could say anythin', he groaned in pain and put his hands to his heart. I looked through the medkit to see if there was any ink to replace the gap with. Of course, there was nothin'. Just what I needed. "Axel, you stay here with Boris while I go to get a few ink vials."
"A'ight, Benicio. Say, just in case of an emergency, what level will you be on?"
"Level P, there were a few crates up there that we were supposed to put in storage."
"Well, what do I do about Boris?"
"Just hold on a second. Keep the towel on the gap and if he says anything then you need to tell me."
"Can do, Ben," Axel replied, sitting up nice and tall. He's such a stick in the mud. I rolled my eyes and hurried off to the lift, I knew that we didn't have much time to spare.

That wasn't the first time Benicio had to rush to different levels, but it had to be done for his ol' pals sake. He pushed the button and waited for the every box to find its way to the caged walls. It finally came and Benicio hurried into it. 'Level P, Level P...' he thought to himself. He pushed the button that reads 'P' on it. The lift cage closed and sounded quite scratchy. The lift jolted and started to move. "This piece of junk," he mumbled, impatiently tapping his foot on the dusty floor. His arms were crossed as he waited for the lift to jolt once more to a stop. The caged doors opened and he quickly bounded down the hallway to an old door. It creaked as he opened it, revealing a small room full of crates and old tape recorders. He quickly skimmed the room for an old crowbar he had left there in case of an emergency. The walls were covered with ink that had burst through some pipes a long time ago when the studio was still running. Benicio moved crates here and there, carefully and efficiently, trying not to break the vials inside. He finally caught a glimpse of it near the vent in the corner behind a few more crates. Benicio reached his hand through the slit the crates left and pulled the crowbar out from behind them. He quickly broke open the box, dropped the crowbar, and grabbed two vials from inside, putting the crate's top back on. 'Hopefully, the syringe is in the med-kit,' he thought to himself, trying to hurry back to the lit without dropping the ink. He got to the enclosed elevator and hurried back to the main lobby, almost dropping the ink on the way there. "Axel! Is the syringe in the med-kit?" he yelled from down the hall. He heard a faint call back, "I got it right here!" Axel replied. "Ah, thank the almighty..." Benicio sighed. He continued down the hall until he got to where Axel and Boris were. "Look who finally d-decided to join us..." Boris stuttered. Benicio's eyes drooped at the sight of his good ol' friend. He slowly walked to Boris's side and set the vials next to the kit. "Even though I've seen ya like this before, Iuh, I can't help but worry about ya sometimes, bud," Benicio mumbled. Boris looked over at Benicio and patted him on the shoulder. "You don't gotta worry 'bout me, Benicio," He shuddered. "Now are ya gonna fix me or are you gonna let me sit here to rot?" he chuckled. Benicio snickered and shook his head. He grabbed the ink and put some in the syringe. "Hold still," Benicio replied, holding the syringe to Boris's chest.
