My name is Jasmine Corvet, I'm 15 years old, I turn 16 in a week and I got this diary because my best friend Cora literally ordered me to buy one so here I am talking to a book, Cora says you will help find my 'true self' and I just don't want to argue with her she's a big extrovert and arguing with her often if not always ends up with me apologizing to her for an argument that I didn't even start.
Anyways she says I should introduce myself to you and not just on a name and age basis so, I should probably start by telling you who Cora is; Cora's my best friend we knew each other even before my parents died, oh yeah my parents I guess I should tell you about them my parents died when I was 4 in an accident and I was taken to an orphanage I stayed there for about a year till I got adopted by my new parents the Corvets they are a pretty rich and famous family so everyone's always telling me how lucky I am but I really don't care about money and fame if I could go back in time I'd stop my parents from dying and gladly become an Arella again, Arella was my family's last name, my name was originally Raven Arella but my new parents changed it they say Jasmine suits me better but I honestly don't agree with them, not that I'm going to tell them that, they've done a lot for me already and I don't want to seem selfish by complaining so I always do what I'm told, I'm the perfect daughter in their eyes and the eyes of the public, they have my whole life planned for me; graduate, get married, run the family business with my husband, have kids and all that but I don't want to do that, I want to be an adventurer but like I said I won't tell them that don't want to seem selfish
Now back to Cora she's my best friend, she has dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes while I have curly brown hair and sea blue eyes, she was there for me when my parents died, she was six back then and mature for her age and she knew me better than anyone else, when I got adopted and we were separated there was nothing we could do because we were just kids, Cora's mum tried adopting me but she couldn't because she was a single mother and she wasn't in the best financial position so her request to adopt me was turned down so when I got adopted by my parents you can't imagine how happy we were, we even went to the same school, we were together once again until 6 years later she had to move, I was so sad I cried a lot but she promised me that we'd stay in touch and we did so we're still the best of friends it's a long distance friendship but we make it work we visit each other during holidays and have fun together so even after 5 years we're still best friends and we'll always be
Wow it's pretty late and I'm tired, but getting a diary might not have been a stupid idea after all
