Pumpkin ran around the field as Bella the black stallion's owner and her family were putting up their Christmas tree. Bella came outside and tossed an apple to Pumpkin. Pumpkin walked up to the fence sniffing Bella for more food. "No more food Pumpkin, you have your grain!" said Bella. Bella was turning 13 three days before Christmas and she was so excited! Bella tacked up Pumpkin and rode him to the old barn belonging to Mr. Roger and his horses. Mr. Roger's wife died last year so Bella wanted to bring him a little cheer. She had made him a small heart charm with the name Roger and Camila. She had painted and created it herself from clay. She held it in her hand tight as Pumpkin galloped down the trail. When they arrived at the barn, all the horses greeted Pumpkin and Bella. There was Jack(a pinto horse), Bear(a Clydesdale), Ginger( a golden mare), and Pumpkin's horse crush Phoenix(a black mare). Bella walked up to Mr. Roger's house and she could smell the cold breeze and the scent of blackberry pie near the house. Bella jumped in joy because she knew that scent! That was the scent of Mr. Roger's homade blackberry pie with cinnamon tea! Bella led Pumpkin into Phoenix's stall and walked to the house.
