Once upon a time there was a little girl she lived in the village, but one day they created a local Costco. She went there once it was done, there were free samples of cheese, because she was so poor she took 5 samples to feed her and the shadow. But the Costco cops caught her. She was sent to prison. But you will see what happens next in the story... (she wants to find out why her parents gave her up too)
"Fork my life" Alli yelled "you shouldn't be cussing my darling..." the shadow said "But no one can hear me, I'm all alone in my house, a 7-year-old girl left on the streets...my own parents left me for dead shadow I-" "shh darling you are going to wake the mouses, and that's not true I'm here, I hear it." The shadow interrupted
"I know but your not real, your fake, in my mind, the ole' bookkeeper says it. Everyone says it. I know you not real, when I speak of you everyone in the village laughs..." "Yes, but you can hear me because you have the right ears to listen to me with darling..." "oh well shadow, we can pick this up tomorrow I'm too tired to bicker." "Indeed darling, a girl needs her rest."
Alli slammed herself onto her hard springy bed thinking why shadow never showed herself, or maybe even himself, but her voice is soft, oh so pure, you can feel her warming your heart. If she were a boy he would probably make me scared. But how would I know? I'm just a peasant girl. Living in an abandoned house, my only friend imagery, at least I can speak rat...
She sighed looking through the hole above her sorry head, starring into the stars. "Once...Just once I want to be loved..."
I looked closer into the stars saying that same thing over and over in my head. The stars aligned "you are loved Alli, your father and I are so sorry..." then the voice faded...
It wasn't shadow but the voice sounded like I knew it... I thought for a second... "father? Wait...that voice. It was my mother's?" I smiled, being both, scared and happy. All of my dreams were of her that night. What she looked like, what her name was, her favorite color, animal, and what she was like!
Oh, I bet she was a fair maiden, always helping people, maybe I even have siblings! I can't imagine what it would've been like being with her and my father!
Life would be amazing! Oh, I would have all the best batches in the village!
But...She and my father gave me up...Thinking about how great it would be with them made me realize how hard I have it here with shadow and the mice... oh but I'm just a peasant girl, I shouldn't be thinking about these things, there has to be a reason for her giving me up!
I tightened my fists together, rose from my bed, clanged my fists on my hard bed.
"I'm going to find out why my parents gave me up!" I yelled, "please Alli calm down it's late..." I heard "shadow that you?" "Yes now please keep it down the mice are sleeping..." "Ok, sorry shadow..."
