Mochi Ai is the sweetest, cutest, most kawaii person you could ever know. Returning to her stepmom and dad back in USA from the Harajuku district of Japan, she meets the alpha of her new school, a wolf-and-dragon hybrid named Drake. Poetic, huh? As the two get to know each other, however, Drake realizes Mochi has some nasty skeletons in the closet. What is she? Who is she?
"Hai, Dad! Hai, Gwen!" Mochi exclaimed as her parents and Drake's walked into the room. After giving out hugs, Shiro cleared his throat and looked at Drake. "So, Drake... may I ask who Mochi's attacker was?" he asked. Drake's expression turned disgusted and repulsed. "Her name is Valarie, and she's my ex-girlfriend..." "What reason would she have for attacking you and Mochi?" "Well.... you need to know a little about my background first: When I first came to Midsummer Academy, I was extremely popular, and lots of people described me as 'charismatic' and 'charming'. I had a slew of girls who I knew had crushes on me, but they all seemed to be more into admiring me and trying to get on my good side. However..." Drake sighed as his eyes started to look hollow. "One by one, they stopped flirting with me, or they disappeared... two were even found dead at school. I seriously thought I was cursed, but then... I got a note asking to meet me in front of the school water fountain during the evening. When I got there, I was met by a girl I barely knew. That girl was Valarie. She said that she had deep feelings for me, and begged me to date her. I didn't know what else I could do, since I didn't want to hurt her, so I accepted." Drake hesitated to continue, but Mochi stared at him with wide, scared eyes that begged him to go on. "We dated for about two years, but then I learned that she was responsible for why every girl interested in me was scared of me, missing, and even responsible for the murders at the school. I broke up with her as soon as I could, and ever since that day, she's been stalking me at home, threatening people who seem even possibly infatuated with me. The only reason she left Thea and Anais alone is because she knows they're both lesbians AND dating... and she blackmailed me into acting like I hate most of the girls at school, just so most of them would leave me be."
Talking about the terror Drake faced seemed to bring back horrible feelings to him. After he finished, Oliver nodded slightly. Mochi hugged her new boyfriend. "I... I'm sorry you had to go through those things, Drakey..." she said timidly. Life shone back into Drake's eyes as he patted her head. "Ah, you needn't worry now that she's locked up for good!" he smiled. "I do have one question, Drake..." Gwen piped up. " If you had only invited Mochi to sleep over after you found her in a locker, because of Valarie, then how did Valarie know that she was sleeping over (she means that how did Valarie know that Mochi would be at the Rales')?" Drake nodded. "Since Valarie is a yandere, she often stalks me on my way home, and sometimes even through my window," he replied. "But, if that's the case, why don't you call the police?" "It actually doesn't bother me TOO too much if Valarie stalks me; as long as she keeps her distance, and she doesn't hurt anyone..." Drake looked over at Shiro, whose expression was one of anger, regret, and pity. Mochi put her hand on her dad's. "There wasn't anything you could do to stop it, Dad... Valarie was watching Drake almost 24/7, so she would have seen that either I didn't heed her warning, or Drake would talk to me and I wouldn't ignore him. Even if I hadn't gone to Drake's, Valarie would have found and probably successfully kill me," she reassured. Shiro nodded. "This whole experience has been traumatic... by the way, are you gonna show your demon horns and wings at school from now on?" he asked. Mochi nodded. "Yep! I'm sick of hiding who I am, sick of the drama... I want to really be myself, with no more serious problems arising!" she exclaimed, giving Drake a peck on his cheek out of happiness.
She should have made sure there was nothing else to deal with...
