Mochi Ai is the sweetest, cutest, most kawaii person you could ever know. Returning to her stepmom and dad back in USA from the Harajuku district of Japan, she meets the alpha of her new school, a wolf-and-dragon hybrid named Drake. Poetic, huh? As the two get to know each other, however, Drake realizes Mochi has some nasty skeletons in the closet. What is she? Who is she?
Mochi jumped as soon as the ringing started, then quickly followed it to her source. "My phone! Thank chu soooo much for plugging it in!" she exclaimed to her friend's family, Then she picked up the call. "Mochi?! Is that you?!" Mochi's dad, Shiro, said over the phone. "Yes, Dad. My phone was out of battery," Mochi replied. "Phew... that explains a lot. Where are you now?" "At Drakey's house!" "Oh? Why are you there?" "I got stuck inside a locker, and my claustrophobia caused meh to 'kazukana'(faint). I'm feeling better, though!" Mochi said. "Good..." There was a momentarily pause. "Other than Drake's parents, does he have any other guys in his family?" "Nupe! Just two older sisters and a younger half-sister." "Alright, can I speak to Drake's parents?" "Sure!" Mochi bustled over to Oliver and Areo. "My dad wants to talk to you!" she said. Suddenly, Rain and Airalyn pulled Mochi over to a nice, modern kitchen and sat her at a marble bar table. "Do you want any snacks?" Rain asked. "We have pretzels, nacho-cheese tortilla chips, and granola bars! Which would you like?" "I'll have a small bowl of tortilla chips, pwease!" Mochi exclaimed, As she finished up and washed her bowl in the sink, Areo came over with a giant smile on his face. "Mochi, you're dad and stepmom will be coming over for dinner tonight, and then they'll drop off your stuff," he said as Oliver hugged him from behind. "Drop off my... stuff?" "Yep! You're sleeping over tonight!"
"This is such a nice house!" Gwen raved. It was only about 6 PM, but the small house party was just getting started. Siren had called the pizza place she worked at and was able to get several boxes of pizza, cheesy bread, and some salad (Oliver and Gwen were vegetarians). "Mochiiiii! Can I style your outfit?" Rain pleaded. Siren patted her sister on the back. "She's actually studying to be a clothing stylist when she gets older, and she has an amazing sense of fashion," she said. Mochi nodded, and the three headed upstairs. Shiro laughed and turned to Oliver and Areo. "Now, please excuse me for what I'm about to say, and you don't have to answer if you don't want, but..." he started. "Is it difficult being a homosexual couple?" Oliver and Areo looked at each other as Drake sat down next to them. "Well... lots of people, such as my father-in-law, aren't very keen on homosexual interaction. However, because we are one of the most powerful families tier-wise in the USA, many people don't give it much thought, and instead focus on our power. However, some of our former 'haters', like my ex, began supporting us after we had kids," Oliver explained. Drake nodded. "It was hard for me to accept homosexuality for a while as well," he said. Shiro leaned back in his seat. "Y'know... after my ex-wife Neka and I divorced, she began to date girls, according to Mochi. Mochi is extremely supportive of LGBTQ, and also very protective of it and its 'honor'," he said. Drake listened closely. "What d'you mean 'protective'?" he asked. "Well, she gets very angry, and then..." Suddenly, Shiro caught his words. It was as if he was about to say something horrible, but caught himself at the last second. "N-never mind... it's not so bad, really. Mochi's an absolute sugar ball!" Shiro exclaimed, rubbing the back of his throat. Drake stared for a few seconds...
What was he ACTUALLY going to say about Mochi's temper?
