Mochi Ai is the sweetest, cutest, most kawaii person you could ever know. Returning to her stepmom and dad back in USA from the Harajuku district of Japan, she meets the alpha of her new school, a wolf-and-dragon hybrid named Drake. Poetic, huh? As the two get to know each other, however, Drake realizes Mochi has some nasty skeletons in the closet. What is she? Who is she?
"Mochi, are you ready for school?" Gwen called. "Almost! I gotta get my uniform on!!!" Mochi called back. Gwen knocked on the door, and Mochi then bounded across the attic to get it. "Sweetheart, you don't have to wear this, you know. You can wear normal clothes if you'd like!" Gwen assured her stepdaughter. At this point, Mochi had already tied the finishing handkerchief around her neck and slipped her favorite panda hat on her head. "No thank chu, Gwennie. I'm already dressed! Plus, I really like my uniform!" Mochi said, twirling in her Japanese school uniform. The uniform was all black, except for some hot-pink lining on the skirt and hankie. Gwen shrugged and handed Mochi her pink ballet flats. "When's the bus ride?" Mochi asked. "About thirty minutes, so you can really enjoy your breakfast. Speaking of which, what would you like to eat? No sweets, though!" "Ummm... can we have pancakes?" "Sure!" With that, the two headed downstairs. "Hi Dad! Can we have pancakes for breakfast?" "Of course, honey!" Shiro replied happily. Mochi gathered her new pink messenger bag. She could hardly wait for school to start!
Midsummer Academy For Grades 6-12 was just as large as Mochi's Japanese school. White walls with yellow tiles and ceiling trim, the rooms were spacious and amazing. Mochi went to the Principal's Office, which was right next to the entrance doors, where many students bustled in. Some stared at Mochi, some looked like they couldn't care less. Finally, Mochi made it past the crowd and knocked on the principal's door. "Come on in!" rang a friendly female voice. "Welcome to our school!" exclaimed the principal. Her long, blond hair contrasted nicely with her black office uniform and pale skin. "Hello! You must be Principal Maxine?" Mochi guessed. "You got it! Here's your schedule..." Maxine chirped happily. "Thank chuu~" Mochi exclaimed. Suddenly, the door opened again. A girl about Mochi's age peeked her head in. "Hey Mom? Didn't you say-" She stopped dead in her tracks as she caught glimpse of Mochi. Her blonde hair matched Maxine's, paired with dark blue eyes and rosy skin. Maxine cleared her throat. "Mochi, this is my daughter, Anais. Anais, this is the new girl,Mochi. She recently moved here from Japan, so can you show her around the place?" she asked. Anais's confused face melted into a huge grin. "Okay! Mochi, come with me!" "Alright!"
